Kerrie is just a California girl in a Washington world! Kerrie and her family moved to Washington in 2018 and they are still finding new places to explore!
Prior to moving to WA and working for PMBC, Kerrie was a jack of all trades. She has been a preschool teacher, a veterinary assistant, and she even worked on a farm taking care of animals. Kerrie is an animal lover and enjoys painting, reading, hiking with her dogs, spending time near the water and laughing.
In the medical field, Kerrie’s 16 years of billing experience includes dermatology, pediatrics, and mental health. Working at PMBC has been very rewarding and Kerrie enjoys getting to know all of her providers and helping to make their work days as smooth as possible. She feels lucky to have been given this opportunity to grow and learn while being able to work with such an outstanding group of individuals.
Shelbi started her career in the medical field while she was still in high school, working as a physical therapy aide/receptionist. She worked her way up to Assistant Office Manager at the PT clinic, where she had many responsibilities, including billing for both PT and massage therapy. After moving to Monroe with her husband, she worked as an Installation Coordinator but knew that she wanted to get back into medical billing. This is when she began working for Prestige as a Billing Account Manager. Over the course of 4 years working at Prestige, she was promoted to Billing Manager before leaving to travel internationally with her husband for two years. Missing the billing field, her hope was to work for Prestige again because of the amazing staff/management and her love of all things billing related. Our paths crossed at the perfect time and Shelbi was back working for PMBC as a New Account Setup Specialist and ERA/EFT Administrator. In her free time, Shelbi enjoys spending time with her husband and family and traveling.
Leslie grew up here in Monroe, WA. She has always been a big family person! Absolutely could be with family all day. She loves being outside especially in the fall, it’s her favorite time of the year. She’s a girl mom, which she considers the best thing ever! She started her career at Pro Appliance where she worked as a receptionist. She loved communicating with others and being helpful, this is why she chose to work as a receptionist at Prestige Medical billing, because it’s a very calming environment and she loves greeting people as they come in and out. Eventually she would love to learn more and be promoted.
Maritza is new to Washington by way of Florida from which she moved last August. She joined the PMBC team in October 2023. She was born in Chicago, grew up in Mexico and then moved to Boca Raton Florida after graduating Prep School. She landed her first billing job in 2002 for a Diabetic DME & Home Infusion company with no experience at all and took such an interest in the field, that she was promoted to supervisor within 6 months. 14 years later she was presented with a great opportunity for a hospital billing position with Conifer Health Solutions as Patient Account Representative and later as a Revenue Recovery Specialist with Knowtion Health/ Resource Healthcare, where she worked for 3 years prior to joining the PMBC team.
When not at work she enjoys spending time with her 2 boys Eli and Manny, hiking, working out, searching for cool things to do. She is a foodie at heart and loves finding good places to eat in her new home state. She is super excited for this new journey with the PMBC family.
Born and raised in Louisiana, Kathy is a Southern Belle at heart who has worked in the medical field since she was 16 years old. Her job first began as a customer service representative for an ophthalmology clinic and she eventually became an ophthalmic technician. After about 15 years, she decided to transition into the insurance billing field where she eventually became the supervisor for that same clinic. Her medical billing knowledge is vast, with experiences ranging in areas such as family practice, orthopedic surgery, home health, and finally mental health billing.
Kathy loves what she does and hopes to continue this career path for many, many years. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her best friend who happens to be her husband. They have been happily together for 16 years. Kathy and her best friend/husband enjoy seeing new places, trying local restaurants, and spending time with her family.
Shannon has called the Monroe area home for almost her whole life. She is a true Washington girl, does not mind the rain, hates the heat, and looks forward to our beautiful fall days.
After almost a decade of working with children at a local nonprofit, she felt it was time for a career change. She went to work for a local chiropractor, where she got her start in medical billing. Shannon is now a part of the PMBC team and is learning something new every day. She enjoys the challenge of the job, as well as knowing she is helping providers, so they can spend time where they are needed most.
In her off-time Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids and her two lazy cats. She loves to read and dreams of being on the Amazing Race. She is a huge Disney fan and an avid Disney vacationer. One of her bucket list items is to make it to all six of the Disney Parks around the world.
Shannon is happy to have found a new home here at PMBC with some amazing coworkers.
Candice grew up as a military brat and traveled all around the world. However, her primary home for 16 years was Cabot, Arkansas. Living in a small town she shared English class with her future husband their Senior year of high school, but they never spoke to each other. It took college for Candice and her husband to finally connect.
Candice has a BA in Psychology with a minor in Music and a BA in Communication Speech & Disorders. Before moving to Bigfoot Country (WA State), she worked as an Operation Specialist for Lifetouch Photography and as a Receptionist at a mental health clinic. She is currently working towards a certificate as a Professional Coder.
Candice enjoys making jewelry out of epoxy, having movie marathons, studying about cryptids, and always winning in super Mario Go-Cart against her husband.
Cyndi began her Medical Billing journey by attending Everest College and graduating top of her class in 2011. Right after graduation, she quickly began working part-time with Acupuncture Billing for 6 years while working a full-time position in Eatonville as a Laboratory Biller for almost 4 years. With her amazing talent for finding answers, solving any problems she comes across, and her willingness to jump in whenever help is needed, she felt it appropriate timing to become PMBC’s Billing Advocate Lead and New Provider Account Specialist. Cyndi has 2 amazing kids that are all grown up now and they both have made her a Grandma! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, going to the beach on a sunny day to watch the sunset, and curling up with her cats and dog on cold days.
Cindy is the Owner/COO at PMBC. She wears many hats as she manages our office staff, benefit quote specialist, HR and our Accounting department. Her organizational skills help keep PMBC running smooth. She has had many jobs in the past including working in the COB department at King County Medical Blue Shield, the Import/Export Manager and Executive Secretary at Ace Novelty, Church Secretary at New Horizon Christian Church, and lastly before coming to work at PMBC, she was a paralegal for 10 years for a Family Law Attorney in Seattle. Cindy has 35 years of Personal Assistance/Office Management experience which provides her with the ability to manage our business. She is patient and has a wonderful ability to teach our new employees and help them learn our policy and procedures.
When Cindy is not working, she loves to read, spend time with her grandchildren and family, travel not only abroad but to her family’s cabin to snowmobile. She also serves others through her church, Life Church of Monroe.
David began his career with Premera in 1980 and in 20 years there worked his way up from a Document Control Clerk (he stapled a lot!) to a Claims Processor, Biller and eventually a User Acceptance Tester. He then moved on to a career in Medical Billing. He began working for a community health care center in Seattle. Looking to move upwards he took a job as a Billing Manager for a retina specialist for about 10 years and then moved on to an ear, nose and throat practice, apparently wanting to cover the whole head. Along that path he recently joined us as our Billing Manager in November of 2020.
When not at work David enjoys spending time with his family (which includes 6 kids, 3 grandkids and a couple of adorable dachshunds), following the Mariners and Seahawks and singing karaoke. He also enjoys Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain…and thinks he’s a pretty funny guy!

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and I have been with Prestige Medical Billing for over five years. In my experience, Prestige Medical Billing has been the best billing company I have ever worked with. I trust them to handle my patient accounts and advocate for me with the insurance companies. They are extremely transparent and honest. Dottie and her staff know their stuff—from understanding complicated billing codes to handling vulnerable patients.
I have had the honor, over these past five years, to watch Dottie’s company grow and expand. They have always been at the forefront of any new changes the insurance companies decide to implement and have always responded to these changes proactively, educating the staff, implementing the changes, and keeping me informed along the way. I have always appreciated how they can take the complexities of the insurance industry and make it understandable for me, as well.
When issues have come up with the insurance companies, or even with some of my patients, Prestige has worked diligently to address the issues. There have been occasions where have identified significant errors with how the insurance company has done things. In those cases, Dottie and her team have advocated fiercely, rectified the issues, and retrieved additional monies. They have also been patient and understanding with my clients. I have always appreciated that they have never wavered in maintaining the confidentiality of my teenage patients even when having to deal with a frustrated or angry parent.
As a company, I have been regularly impressed with the atmosphere of Prestige Medical Billing. Dottie has built a team of committed and loyal team members. They communicate well, they are kind and caring, and they work well together. Dottie takes care of her staff and it shows in their interactions and their work. Dottie is looked up to as a leader and, in my experience, she has always been available to jump into some of the more complicated situations supporting her staff and working through those issues.
It has been a pleasure to work with Dottie and her team at Prestige Medical Billing. I would not hesitate to recommend them to any practitioner who really wants to feel safe and secure in the knowledge that their clients’ accounts are being taken care of and well managed.

When I first started my private practice in 2013, I quickly realized that insurance billing wasn’t a side of the business I wanted to spend time learning, but it was something that needed to be done. With the help of Prestige Medical Billing Company, I am able to focus on helping my clients– the reason why I got into this field to begin with! PMBC has played a major role in the success of my practice and I can’t say enough good things about my experience working with them. Their expertise and support does not just stop at insurance billing; I’ve received help in so many different aspects of private practice and I truly appreciate the time and effort that PMBC always puts forth. My practice is on the opposite side of the state as PMBC, but distance has never hindered our success in working together. They continue to impress me with efficiency, communication, and timeliness. I highly recommend working with PMBC for all your billing needs. They are truly experts in the field and are worth every penny!

We have worked with two other billers before PMBC and it was Dottie and her team that reinstated my trust in billers. From our very first meeting, she and her team have gone above and beyond in supporting my practice and I credit them with playing a huge part in our growth. It is clear that Prestige is committed to make sure my business is paid and it’s something I don’t have to worry about. Dottie herself is kind, organized and communicative and these qualities are reflected in her employees. As a fellow business owner, I also appreciate that Dottie is transparent and client-centered in her practices, which has made partnering with Prestige a smooth and lovely experience. I highly recommend working with Dottie and PMBC! 🙂

Morgan graduated from High School and immediately joined the Medical field where she worked full time as a receptionist for a Pediatric Clinic. This is where she truly found her love for the medical field. After graduating from Everest College in 2013, she continued her work at the pediatric clinic as a Medical Assistant. After starting a family, Morgan decided to stay home with her kids to focus on her children and home life. She picked up photography, and really enjoyed doing things as a family like camping, hiking, and vacationing together. Although she loves her kids more than anything, Morgan decided to get back into the working field, and that’s when she found us at PMBC. She started out as our receptionist, and quickly grew into her role as an Office Manager. She believes the sky is not the limit, it’s just the beginning.
Maggie began working since she was 15 years old for her brother-in-law at Ixtapa for 20 years. Afterwards, she began working at an auto insurance company and a restaurant. After 19 years, she decided it was time for a change. She met Cindy Johnson who offered her an opportunity to work as a receptionist at PMBC since April 2019. Maggie is a wife and mother of two daughters. A Gentleman and a Scholar; Samantha was born and raised in Monroe, Washington. She graduated high school in 2015 and began her journey learning to be a costume designer, even interning at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle until she was thrown into billing when she joined Prestige in 2017 as their temporary fill in. She quickly worked her way out of a temporary position and soon found herself being our permanent receptionist until she moved on to be a billing advocate and soon office manager, eventually moving all the way up to being the Executive Assistant of our amazing CEO, as the youngest and most senior employee at PMBC.
Samantha leans on the darker eclectic side of life, and when she is not hard at work or studying historical fashion, she enjoys music, painting, and traveling around Washington state with her girlfriend in search of new adventures and spooky places, all while sharing her Halloween spirit with those around her.
While growing up in Monroe, WA, Victoria has worked in a variety of fields but has consistently returned to and has enjoyed working in security. Several years after she graduated from high school, she spontaneously decided to move to Arizona with her boyfriend. Dottie began her career in 1998 as an Office Manager for a large Chemical Dependency Counseling Agency. She moved into the billing department in 1999 and found her true calling. Always being referred to as a “Rule Keeper” and being good with numbers, Dottie found herself at home in the medical billing field. She helped manage state and federal contracts, developing the billing process for Snohomish County Youth Drug court program (CDDA) when it was developed in the early 2000’s. After working for four years in chemical dependency Dottie took a position as a Billing manager with Northwest Family Life (domestic violence counseling agency for perpetrators and victims). Dottie found her purpose here, realizing that her support of mental health providers, was building healthier communities for all of us. After leaving Northwest Family Life, Dottie helped run a medium size mental health group in Marysville for 5 years while she built them a outsource billing company.
In 2010 Dottie partnered with investors to create Prestige Medical Billing Co., specializing in Mental Health Billing. Supporting our community of mental health providers, is what drives Dottie to make a difference every single day. Though Dottie now runs her company as CEO, she still enjoys teaching others how to advocate on behalf of mental health providers and their patients, bringing purpose to the hard work they do each day.
Bringing joy to Dottie’s life at work and home is her fur baby Mr. Pickles her French Bulldog. He has become the office mascot and stress reliever. Dottie spends her days with her husband enjoying road trips, good food, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
